Hi, I'm Kayo.
Certified Nutritionist · Personal Trainer · Pilates Instructor · Gut Health Specialist

I've been where you are.
And I know exactly what it took to get out.

My Story
For most of my twenties, I was the person who held everything together. Born and raised in Germany, with a background that blends German, Japanese, and American cultures, I'd built a career in digital marketing and creative direction, moved countries four times in nine years, and kept pushing through every environment change, every time zone, every new start.

What I didn't know was the cost.

Chronic UTIs that kept coming back no matter what I tried. Emotional weight gain I couldn't explain. Fatigue that no amount of sleep fixed. Skin that wouldn't clear. Hormonal shifts I was told were "normal for my age." A body that felt like it was working against me — and a medical system that kept telling me my results looked fine.

The breaking point came when I finally stopped asking "what's the symptom" and started asking "what's causing all of this."

The answer was the same for almost everything: chronic inflammation, a damaged gut lining, and a nervous system that had been running on cortisol for so long it had forgotten what regulation felt like. My body wasn't broken. It had been asking for something different for years — and nobody had helped me hear it.

When I addressed those root causes — through targeted anti-inflammatory nutrition, a structured gut healing protocol, and nervous system regulation practices — everything changed. The UTIs stopped. The weight shifted and stayed shifted. My skin cleared. My energy came back. And I realised this was not just my story.

It was the story of almost every driven, high-achieving woman I knew.

That's when I became a nutritionist. And then a health coach. And then a personal trainer and pilates instructor. Not because I wanted more letters after my name — but because I wanted to understand the full picture of how a woman's body works, and how to help her work with it rather than against it.
How I work
I don't give generic meal plans. I don't put every client on the same protocol. I don't treat symptoms in isolation.

What I do is start from the beginning — your full health history, your current symptoms, your stress load, your gut health, your hormonal patterns, and the daily habits that are either supporting or undermining all of the above. Then I build a protocol around what's actually driving your picture, not what's driving the average person's picture.

My approach combines root cause nutrition with nervous system regulation — because your gut cannot heal while your body is in chronic stress, and your hormones cannot balance while your gut is inflamed. These systems are interconnected. The protocol has to be too.

I work remotely with women globally, and every programme is fully personalised.

"Kayo has an incredible instinct for people. No matter how messy my thoughts are, she instantly understands what I mean and offers a perspective that helps me every single time. She never judges, just supports exactly where it's needed. I couldn't be more grateful."

I’m not even exaggerating when I say this - Kayo made me realize that what I needed wasn’t a therapist, but a health and wellness coach. Working with her changed everything. We started by addressing my inconsistent sleep schedule and less-than-ideal diet, both of which I struggled with for YEARS, but instead of pushing me to go cold turkey or forcing me into rigid routines (like other personal trainers have done in the past), she introduced small, manageable changes that gradually (and seamlessly!) became part of my everyday life.
There was no “don’t do this” or “cut out that.” Her approach felt far less intimidating and stressful, and eventually, these small changes led to bigger improvements in other areas of my life, like my mental health, daily energy levels, and overall mindset.

Kayo does her research, strategizes her methods, and makes it her mission to guide you toward the results you’ve been struggling to achieve without making it feel overwhelming. And the best part is that you can tell she’s practiced what she preaches. If you’ve been hesitant about getting a coach to help you improve your lifestyle, trust me - Kayo is absolutely worth the investment.

If any part of this story sounds familiar — that's not a coincidence.
The women I work with are not unhealthy people making bad choices. They are driven, intelligent, high-functioning women whose bodies are responding predictably to the environment they've been in. Chronic stress. Under-recovery. Foods that are inflammatory for their specific system. A gut that has never been given the conditions to heal.

The clarity call is free, 20 minutes, and zero pressure. We talk about what's going on with your body, whether my approach is the right fit, and what working together would look like. If I'm not the right person for you, I'll tell you — and point you in the right direction.
