Dietary Approach

I advocate for an intuitive eating approach—nothing is off-limits, but the focus is on whole, nutritious foods that support overall well-being.

As a certified Nutritionist, I developed The Slow Intuitive 60/30/10 © dietary approach, helping you build a healthier relationship between your mind and body. It's all about learning to make mindful food choices, honour your body’s needs, and achieve a balanced, healthy but sustainable diet.

Here’s how it works:

Intuitive eating is about listening to your body's cues and responding to your physical and emotional needs. The 9 principles of intuitive eating we follow include:

  1. Reject the Diet Mentality: Ignore fad diets and weight-loss plans.

  2. Honour Hunger: Eat enough to avoid extreme cravings.

  3. Make Peace with Food: Don't prohibit foods to avoid feelings of deprivation.

  4. Identify Fullness: Listen to your body’s signals.

  5. Discover Satisfaction: Slow down and enjoy your food.

  6. Unlink Emotions from Eating: Find non-food (primary food) ways to comfort and nurture yourself, but also enjoy food with cultural and familiar value that nourishes the soul.

  7. Respect Your Body: Accept your natural shape and size.

  8. Exercise for Health: Focus on the benefits of physical activity.

  9. Honour Your Health: Make choices that honour your health and taste preferences.

While with this approach no food is off limits, it still encourages The 60/30/10 Nutritional Balance:
